Responsibilities:

• Evaluate product cost structures by maintaining standard costs, reviewing inventory valuation, and investigating manufacturing variances.

• Prepare accounting entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts to support timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial close activities.

• Oversee inventory-related financial activity, assist with cycle counts and physical inventory events, and help strengthen inventory accuracy.

• Work closely with operations, production, and supply chain partners to assess plant performance and uncover opportunities to reduce cost and improve margins.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes through detailed cost reporting, variance analysis, and financial planning support.

• Provide documentation and analysis for internal and external audits while helping maintain compliance with accounting policies and control requirements.

• Perform ad hoc accounting tasks and financial analysis as needed to support business and departmental priorities.Staff

• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, manufacturing cost analysis, and inventory accounting principles.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports in support of close processes.
• Ability to analyze variances, interpret production cost trends, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Epicor is preferred.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, audit support, and accounting compliance standards.
