Veterinary Laboratory Technician

About the Role As a Laboratory Technician at IDEXX, you perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. Responsibilities Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests for animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases. Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples received in the lab by the thousands, every day. Set up and run lab tests, read and release results according to SOPs. Specialize in an assigned department. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: degree in a science‑related field. Experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT) is a plus. Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests and operating laboratory equipment such as microscopes, pipetting, or clinical diagnostic analyzers. Positive attitude, teamwork, attention to detail, reliability, and precision. Ability to meet physical requirements: standing/sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lb, specific vision ability, and exposure to biohazards. What We Offer Hourly rate target of $21.00/hr.
