Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU, travel PRN assignment in a hospital setting located in Pontiac, Michigan. Start date: 06/22/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,673 - $1,764 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights. The role supports ICU and Step-down care within an Intermediate Intensive Care Unit, caring for adolescent through geriatric patients with a range of medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical diagnoses. The nurse will maintain professional standards, supervise CNA/SNA, LPN or other health care workers as assigned, and participate in coordinating and delivering comprehensive patient care. Must pick up at least one shift every 60 days to stay active. Travel - temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/SDU, including monitoring, medication administration, ventilator management, and hemodynamic support.
- Assess patient status regularly, document findings, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform and supervise patient care activities for assigned CNA/SNA, LPN, or autre staff as directed, ensuring safe, efficient workflows.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, including timely documentation of assessments, treatments, responses to therapy, and discharge planning.
- Respond to clinical alarms and emergencies, participate in codes and rapid response when required, and uphold infection prevention and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, provide education as appropriate, and coordinate with ancillary services to support continuous patient care.

Requirements
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse license (LARA) verification required
- 2+ years ICU experience (required)
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS (required); TNCC or TCAR preferred
- Education: Diploma/Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; current, unrestricted RN licensure in Michigan
- Ability to work in ICU/SDU settings and supervise other health care staff as assigned
- Must be willing to travel and participate in PRN scheduling; must pick up at least one shift every 60 days to stay active
- Documentation and credentialing requirements will be completed per submission process
