Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. We are looking for caring, patient, and dependable respite providers to support and spend quality time with two wonderful boys. This role takes place in the community, providing a fun and structured environment where both boys can relax, play, and be themselves while their parents take a well-deserved break.

The ideal candidate is calm, patient, and experienced with children who have unique behavioral or sensory needs. These boys thrive with adults who can stay positive, set clear boundaries, and redirect challenging moments with kindness and understanding.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment in the community
• Engage the boys in fun activities like crafts, games, pretend play, or short walks
• Encourage learning through math games, creativity, and exploration
• Offer gentle direction and redirection during challenging moments
• Communicate clearly and calmly to help them manage emotions
• Encourage independence while maintaining supervision and safety
• Create a space where they can be themselves and feel understood

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with childcare, babysitting, or respite care preferred
• Patient, gentle, and compassionate demeanor
• Comfortable providing personal cares
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Ability to understand and respond to the child’s needs, including navigating communication barriers

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable Transportation
• Must pass a background check
