Volunteer Delivery Driver
A Need We Feed is seeking compassionate and reliable Volunteer Delivery Drivers to assist with our weekly meal delivery program. Volunteers help deliver freshly prepared meals to clients on our weekly delivery list, supporting seniors, veterans, families, and individuals in need.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up prepared meals and deliver them to 4–7 client addresses along an assigned route
- Routes are organized by town to minimize travel
- Deliver meals safely, courteously, and on schedule
- Communicate availability in advance of delivery days
Schedule & Commitment:
- Deliveries take place on Wednesdays between 2-4pm
- Volunteers are contacted the Friday prior to confirm availability
- There is no weekly obligation; volunteers serve based on their availability
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Must be 25 and over
- Ability to lift and carry meal packages
- Compassion and professionalism when interacting with clients
- Completion of a volunteer application and background check (required due to serving vulnerable populations)
