Oxford Solutions is working with an industrial equipment manufacturer in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, PA seeking an Inventory & Materials Coordinator for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This is a fully onsite position supporting the production of electro-mechanical equipment.

Pay Rate: $20-$21/hour

This role goes beyond traditional inventory management. We are looking for someone who can understand how components fit together within a finished product, interpret technical drawings and bills of material, and work closely with production to ensure materials are available when needed.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain bills of material (BOMs) based on incoming customer orders
• Manage inventory levels to support production schedules and customer demand
• Monitor inventory transactions, shipments, and stock accuracy within ERP systems
• Analyze inventory usage and forecast material requirements
• Source materials, obtain supplier quotes, and support purchasing activities
• Verify incoming materials meet specifications and quality standards
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve material shortages and support order fulfillment
• Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and order-related records

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
• Experience in inventory control, materials management, purchasing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read electro-mechanical drawings
• Understanding of assemblies and BOMs
• Hands-on manufacturing experience
• ERP and Excel skills
