About This Role The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery at Northwell Health is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of assigned patients. Highlights Pay: $62/hour Location: Bay Shore, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time What You'll Do Collect and organize patient data using all possible resources. Examine patients to determine physical status through interview, observation, and inspection. Identify and record patients' physical and psycho-social conditions. Formulate care plans that prioritize patient needs and expected outcomes. Collaborate with the health team to ensure comprehensive care. Identify patients' educational needs and coping mechanisms. Deliver care that communicates the worth and dignity of patients. Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures. Evaluate progress toward goal achievement using current data. Write admission and discharge notes reflecting patients' status. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: 1-2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BLS, ACLS, NRP required. c-EFM certification upon 1 year of hire required.
