Job Summary
The University of North Georgia invites applications for a ten-month, full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Biology. We are seeking a biologist with expertise in physiology, histology, or neuroscience.

Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses such as majors or non-majors’ introductory biology, neuroscience, physiology, and other related courses in specialty; scholarly work involving undergraduates; advising students; service to the department, university and community; and professional development.
- Teaching assignments may extend to other campuses.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work with faculty and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to engage in interdisciplinary research.
- Ability to successfully incorporate technology and teach on-line is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Ph. D., or terminal degree, at the time of hire in biology or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential with preferred experience at the college level.
- A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
- Teaching experience in biology, physiology, histology or neuroscience.
