Facilities Technician 1

Job Overview Facilities Technician I. The position is based in New Port Richey, FL. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30AM–3:00PM with occasional weekend and overtime work. It is an on‑site role reporting to the Facilities Manager. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance such as repairing office furniture, replacing light fixtures, and maintaining HVAC systems. Conduct regular inspections of facility systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational policies. Implement solutions when issues arise, including equipment assembly, emergency repairs, and grounds support. Support continuous improvement and operational readiness. Work overtime, off‑shifts, and weekends as required. Essential Requirements High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent. Knowledge in at least one trade: Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, or a related allied trade. Self‑starter, able to follow instructions and read adjustable measuring instruments and gauges requiring interpretation. Ability to meet Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements, including occasional driving of equipment. Physical ability to lift 0–10 lbs continuously, 11–20 lbs frequently, 21–100 lbs occasionally, and perform required movements such as bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and climbing. Additional Requirements U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. This position requires access to export‑controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
