Our goal is to meet the highest employer standards by ensuring the health and safety of our employees, protecting the environment and positively impacting our communities where we do business.We are currently looking for experienced, motivated, and creative individuals to fill an Automation Project Manager in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Production Operations Business Unit based in Casper, Wyoming.This role will oversee all aspects of automation construction and commissioning on New Development projects as well as Maintenance projects. Responsible for completing projects as per schedule. Perform a variety of tasks including scheduling for project timelines, scheduling resources on projects, review of engineering design documents and validate facility compliance with engineering documents, red-line documentation as needed, update status reports on projects to leadership. Responsible to manage more than one project at a time.Roles & Responsibilities:Participates in TOTS and M&C project meetingsEnsures engineering documentation is available for automation commissioningFacilitate alignment and allocation of manpower resources on projectsAlign PLC programming integrator resources to function test and validate all automation equipment on site (devices, LOIs, switches, RTUs, etc.) as per engineering designCollaborates with respective construction teams on site regarding IFC designs, verifies automation engineering design deliverables to site IFC and works to resolve discrepancies through automation engineering.Communicates construction and commissioning issues with engineering and provides red-lined documents where applicableReports on project status and ensures commissioning documents and status reports are completedCollaborates with all project managers on facilities and M&C projects (Mechanical and Electrical scopes of work)Local Asset representative for Automation Team to Production Ops Business UnitCreates an environment where members of the team make the day-to-day decisions while providing the tools, training, and support needed to make those decisionsEnsure working environment is conducive to meeting Business Unit's production and safety targetsRemove roadblocks and impediments, foster process improvements with engineeringEnsures compliance with Oxy standards and best practicesIdentify and communicate design challenges and offer improvement suggestions to engineeringIdentify and enhance inefficiencies of processes and control equipmentParticipates in continuous improvement teamsAffectively engage with and utilize resources internal and external of business unitParticipate in technical reviews of assets and/or new business venturesParticipate in annual and long-term business planningParticipate in staffing plans to ensure adequate staffing level to support business plansParticipate in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of employees that are a good fit for the position & organizationAssist in promoting the development of team members professional and technical skillsAssist in Developing and/or managing programs, systems, and practices for maintaining & enhancing a safe, productive, and environmentally sound work environmentSupport operations with training on automation control system functionsEducation:4 year technical degree or equivalent working experienceProfessional/Technical Knowledge:Advanced knowledge of oil and gas automation systemsExperience:6 + years of Oil Field experience2 + years of Managerial experience preferred2 + years of Project Management Experience preferredSkills & Competencies:In depth experience with managing New Development oil and gas facilities/projectsIn depth experience with managing Maintenance and Construction projectsValued contributor to business analysis and planning at all levelsStrong communication skills (verbal/written/listening/presentation)Problem solving skills with ability to analyze and recommend solutions on problems of high complexityUnderstanding of Surface Production Equipment and process system controlsGeneral knowledge of Surface Team, Reservoir Team, Downhole Team, Risk / AI team, IT and HSEAdvanced level competency in oil and gas automation systemsVisionary for process improvement and development of new technologiesAbility to complete staffing plans to ensure adequate staffing levels to support the business planAbility to develop professional and technical skills through coaching, feedback, and trainingRecruitment Fraud It has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
