Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse - Nights. This position is based in a general medical-surgical unit with a focus on patient care for diverse adult patient populations. The role requires providing high-quality nursing services, adhering to established protocols, and collaborating effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; location in the specified region.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, pain management, TPN, CBI, wounds; charge nurse experience is a plus but not required; chest tube experience preferred.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Unit team includes nurse aides (typically 2-3 per shift), RT equipment available for use (including CPAP), telehealth monitoring on the floor with readings by monitor techs. The orientation process includes two days of department-specific training and one day on the floor. Flexibility is appreciated for weekend and holiday scheduling; generally, every third weekend and holiday may be required. The unit utilizes the EPIC charting system and does not have call or standby requirements. Scrub color is any solid color with no patterns or designs.
