Overview

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians to support children and adolescents in our residential treatment programs across multiple Pennsylvania locations.

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct supervision and support to youth in a residential setting. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and structured environment while implementing behavioral supports and assisting in daily routines and therapeutic programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to youth in care
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
• Conduct routine safety checks and observations
• Implement behavioral interventions and coping strategies
• Support daily routines, programming, and life skills development
• Communicate with clinical, educational, and supervisory staff
• Model positive behaviors and reinforce program expectations
• Complete documentation including progress notes and incident reports
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-acuity situations

Preferred:

• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Background in behavioral health, residential care, education, or childcare

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Ability to obtain PA clearances (Act 33, Criminal History, FBI Act 73)
• Flexibility to work varying hours based on program needs, including on-call rotation

Work Location

This is an in-person position supporting DTAC residential programs in Bloomsburg, Montgomery, and Middleburg, PA. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to one or more locations.
