About the Role

MedLegal Authority is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our medical-legal team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a new or recently certified MA to gain experience in a unique clinical setting supporting Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and medical-legal evaluations. You'll work directly alongside physicians and clinical staff, helping ensure exams run smoothly and documentation is accurate. No prior medical-legal experience required; we'll train the right candidate.

What You'll Do

• Greet and room examinees; verify identity and intake information
• Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, and basic history
• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians during IME evaluations
• Accurately document findings and enter information into the EHR
• Organize, scan, and route medical records and exam paperwork
• Coordinate scheduling and confirm appointments
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and compliant clinical environment
• Protect patient privacy and handle sensitive records per HIPAA

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Professional, courteous communication with examinees and staff
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• BLS/CPR certification a plus (or willing to obtain)
