Unit Information

Location: Pasadena, TX

Floor: 1st Floor

Number of Beds: 3

Staffing: Full-Time: 8 (6 RNs & 2 Techs) PRN: 3 (2 RNs, 1 Tech)

Day Shift Staffing: 3-4 staff per room depending on case load, with at least 1 Tech per room

Night Shift Staffing: 2 RNs and 1 Tech on-call each night

Patient Ratios: 3-4 staff per patient

Equipment Utilized: X-ray, Impella, Penumbra, IABP, various stents, sheaths, wires, guides, atherectomy devices, EMR Hemomerge & Meditech Expanse

Typical Procedures

• Heart Catheterizations
• Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO)
• High-Risk Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
• Ablations for Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, Supraventricular Tachycardia, and Premature Ventricular Contractions
• Device Insertions: Pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators, Watchman Devices
• Peripheral Angiography with/without Intervention
• ECMO Cannulation
• Thrombectomy Procedures

Required Skills:

• Previous Cath Lab Experience

Required Certifications

• Radiology Technologist or RCIS Certification

Work Guidelines

Standard work hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

On-call duties commence once daily cases conclude.

Weekend on-call coverage is required, with a 24-hour commitment from Friday to Sunday.
