Finance Associate
Dallas, TX | 4–8 Years Experience | AmLaw 50 Firm
Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 50 firm seeking an experienced Finance Associate to join its sophisticated Finance Practice Group in Dallas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance attorney looking to work on complex transactions for financial institutions, private credit funds, and private equity sponsors while gaining significant client exposure and opportunities for professional and business development.
The Role- Execute sophisticated finance transactions, including acquisition financings .
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements and related closing documents .
- Represent lenders and/or borrowers in leveraged finance transactions.
- Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national platform.
- Contribute to business development and build long-term client relationships.
- Handle transactions from initial structuring through closing.
- 4–8 years of finance transaction experience .
- Experience handling varied and sophisticated finance transactions.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Lender-side and/or borrower-side leveraged finance experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client-service skills.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Texas Bar membership in good standing required.
- $310,000–$435,000 annual salary , depending on experience and qualifications.
- Attorneys with 8+ years of relevant experience may be considered at the Special Counsel level.
