Job Summary and Responsibilities Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus! Depending on your location, you may be eligible for up to $8,000 in relocation assistance! To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, you must be hired into a full‑time or part‑time position; PRN positions are not eligible. Some exclusions apply. The schedule for this position is three 12‑hour shifts per week and rotating weekends (7pm‑7am). Our Night Shift RN positions qualify for a $5.75/hr differential from 11pm to 7am. Neonatal ICU Description The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Longmont United Hospital is a unit with six beds, caring for 32‑week gestation and higher‑Level II special care nursery (prematurity, antibiotics, CPAP, Vent, Bilirubin therapy, etc.). Responsibilities Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well‑being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship‑based care, organizational mission, and core values. Job Requirements Education Requirements Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs. Experience Requirements 1+ year Level II or higher NICU experience preferred. Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty. RNC‑NIC certification preferred. Strong newborn admission/transition skills preferred. Will need to be able to provide mother/baby care as needed. Licenses / Certification Requirements RN License required; current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact. Physical Requirements Medium Work – (Exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly).
