Assistant Project Manager

Position Assistant Project Manager – Local community college client in Richmond, CA. Responsibilities Assist the project management team with constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development and execution. Assist in formulating design, bid, and project phase scheduling. Assist in Addenda and Bid process. Under PM supervision, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings. Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager. Facilitate job site meetings and prepare minutes. Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies. Assist with closeout activities and building occupancy. Prepare field reporting for review by Project Manager. Perform QA/QC process. Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards. Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team. Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management. Review and maintain As Built drawings. Other duties as assigned. Attendance at work during normal business hours. Preferred Education and Experience BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field. 3+ years in Project Management, engineering, or construction management supporting public projects. Previous California K‑12 school project experience working with Division of State Architects (DSA) required.
