Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or autonomously (based on credentialing)
• Instructing patients and families on preventative care, wellness strategies, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within the legal scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management strategies
• Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, seamless care
• Ensuring accurate and detailed documentation within electronic health records (EHR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
