MRI Tech

Position Summary The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating MRI scanning equipment and ensuring that everyone that enters the MRI scan room is MRI safe. The technologist produces the images used by the Radiologists, orients the patient and family to the scan procedure, physically prepares and processes the patient through the study, communicates procedural information to the Radiologist, and prepares and assesses image quality to present completed images to the Radiologist. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, required. AA+ degree with field of study in chemical, physical, biological science, or medical laboratory technology; preferred. ARRT certification as a radiologic technologist, required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required. Prior radiology experience, preferred.
