Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist About Us Headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts at our brand-new facility along Boston’s 128 Technology Corridor, Tekscan ( has been in business since 1987. The Role The Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist will provide strategic guidance and day‑to‑day execution of Tekscan HR operations in service of supporting and enabling the success of the high‑performing workforce of approximately 60 FTE. This full‑time individual contributor role requires a minimum of four days in office and reports to the COO. The incumbent will lead the HR function as well as serve as a strategic advisor to the senior leadership team, providing expertise, data and advice to enable strategic decision making. They will own the development and execution of Tekscan’s HR and People Strategy. This newly created rewarding position offers the right candidate the opportunity to grow with the company. The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment, an HR, business administration or related degree, and experience in leading and executing with a lean team. They have a history of successfully developing and implementing organization‑wide HR programs and initiatives. This highly visible role blends strategic (approximately 20%) and tactical/hands‑on (approximately 80%) responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety and other laws, regulations and requirements. Manage relationships with 3rd‑party payroll and benefit providers, specifically ADP Comprehensive Services for payroll and Hub for benefits; evaluate and implement ADP modules to improve efficiencies and delivery of HR services; refine internal processes. Actively engage with employees at all levels, both formally and informally, to ensure employee satisfaction and recommend actions to attract, hire and retain employees. Serve as a resource to employees as ADP administrator and assist with resolution of human resources, compensation and benefits questions, concerns and issues in accordance with company policy and legal requirements. Strengthen HR infrastructure, including workforce planning, budgeting, performance management, compensation benchmarking, talent reviews and identification, planning and execution of special strategic projects. Support hiring and onboarding of new employees. Plan and manage company‑wide employee engagement initiatives, including all‑hands meetings and employee events. Take on additional projects as assigned to support and engage the high‑performing team members. Perform other duties upon request. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP certification a plus). 5+ years of experience in an HR role. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. An enthusiastic, collaborative and adaptable workstyle. Experience handling sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and sound judgment. Experience driving high‑performing teams, ideally in an entrepreneurial organization or start‑up. Proven ability to develop and execute an HR strategy and function; project management experience a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and conflict‑resolution skills. Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now a plus) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with AI tools. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. WIT – a willingness to do whatever it takes. Must hold a valid US passport, as international travel may be required once a year. Prior multinational or international company experience a plus.
