Job Title Registered Nurse – CVICU Location Morgantown, WV Schedule / Job Type Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays and Weekends | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to CVICU patients, including fresh open-heart surgery admissions from the OR Perform hemodynamic and pressure monitoring, including Swan-Ganz catheter management Monitor and manage Impella devices and support patients requiring Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Perform and interpret Activated Clotting Time (ACT) testing as required by unit protocols Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2, with flexibility to accommodate step-down level overflow patients based on acuity Document all patient care accurately using Cerner EMR Required Qualifications Active RN license in West Virginia or a valid Compact State license (pending license accepted at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with demonstrated CVICU or cardiac surgery experience Activated Clotting Time (ACT) experience required Experience with direct open-heart admissions from the OR, cardiac surgery skills, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association) Proficiency with Cerner EMR Preferred Experience / Skills Prior travel nursing experience is a plus, though not required Familiarity with step-down level care in a high-acuity cardiac environment Ability to adapt to varying patient acuity and unit census fluctuations Why Join Us 13-week contract with strong potential for extension in a high-acuity CVICU setting Blocked scheduling requests will be considered, offering flexibility for work-life balance Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 772572.
