Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant - Alpharetta, GAThe Staff Accountant will manage general ledger accounting, monthly close processes, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and reporting for a leading homebuilding company. This role ensures accuracy of financial records, supports special projects, and provides analytical insights to improve operational and financial performance.Assist with month-end close processes and journal entriesMaintain accounting systems and adhere to corporate policiesPrepare bank account and general ledger reconciliationsOversee suspense account reconciliation and wire transfersPrepare monthly revenue entries, accruals, reclassifications, and allocation entriesSupport ESSBASE system reporting to track overhead expenses and compare to budgets and forecastsRun monthly fixed asset reports as requiredPrepare commission packages for reviewSupport accounts payable activitiesAssist with special projects and ad hoc analysisPerform other duties as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in accounting preferredMinimum of 1-2 years of general accounting experienceStrong computer skills in Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsCompetitive salaryOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentExposure to homebuilding financial operations and reporting NorthPoint Search Group Inc
