Job Title: RN - Nurse Educator (MCH / L&D Focus)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (No Extension)
Start Date: 05/18/2026
Shift: Days | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hrs/week

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Educator RN to provide clinical education and support across Maternal Child Health (MCH) units, including Labor & Delivery, NICU, Mother/Baby, and Pediatrics. This role is a temporary coverage for an educator on leave and requires a strong clinical background in L&D.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver education and training programs for nursing staff across MCH units
Support onboarding, competency validation, and skill development
Act as a clinical resource for L&D, NICU, postpartum, and pediatric teams
Collaborate with leadership to improve patient care quality and outcomes
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices
Assist in developing and implementing educational materials and programs

Requirements:

Active New York State RN License (NYS verified)
AHA BLS Certification
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
Strong clinical background (Med/Surg experience required)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN)

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing or Education (strongly preferred)
Prior Nurse Educator experience
Experience in NICU, postpartum, and pediatric care

Additional Details:

Setting: Inpatient - Maternal Child Health (MCH)
Coverage includes L&D, NICU, Mother/Baby, Pediatrics
No on-call required
Contract will not extend beyond 13 weeks
Reason for opening: Coverage for FMLA leave
