We are a company on the move, growing in the Space area; with long history of innovative and exceptional performance, we have earned our place as a trusted provider to our customers.This role will work with internal and external customers to design, develop, and field satellite ground control system architectures and be involved through the systems development lifecycle, including pursuit, developing a technical baseline, developing requirements, system level software design, integration support, and system level testing and selloff. Provide hands-on assistance to implementation and R&D teams to execute the development of awarded programs. Serve as technical expert in latest industry trends, tools and methodologies to continuously improve the delivery of our solutions. Essential Functions: Support development and integration of Satellite Ground Systems solutionsWork with team lead to help decompose the work needed to implement new features or address defects within the operational software.Work with the development team using agile methodologies combined with mature software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.Develop new software and adapt existing software by implementing new capabilities.Maintain cognizance of industry tools, best practices, and procedures.Interface with customers to understand use cases and define requirements, design Cloud capable solutions, support system level testing, and field the solution in customer environments to support the missionCommunicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes.Ability to get a SECRET clearance which requires US Citizenship.Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior software experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior software experience.Linux and Linux tools (sed, grep, awk, top, etc.)Experience with at least one of the following: Python, javascript/nodejs/typescriptPostgres or other SQL database experienceCloud platform experience (e.g., AWS)Experience with Agile development processes (Agile, Scrum, Continuous Delivery)Experience with Agile software development best practices and tools (SAFe, Jira, Git, etc.) and participation in continuous Agile planning and coordination.Preferred Additional Skills:Satellite ground systems development and integration AWS Solutions Architect and AWS Sys Ops certification(s) Application programing with C++Excellent ability to analyze problems and to focus and drive down to the root cause of problems quickly.TP-LI1
