PainterJOB FUNCTION: Prepare, finish and paint walls, woodwork, fixtures and equipment as assigned.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare, finish and paint walls and ceiling, woodwork, and fixtures to include prep work and caulking.Repair plaster and sheetrock walls to include tape, block, skim and sand.Determine the type of paint required for application to different surfaces.Paint mechanical and electrical equipment.Mix paint ingredients to obtain proper color and consistency.Performs other job-related tasks.Perform minor plasterwork to include scratch coat and finish coat.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.A willingness to work shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.EXPERIENCE: Four years' experience relating to painting, spray painting, plastering, and spackling.EDUCATION: High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to write correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.OSHA 10 Certification.CPR First Aid TrainingThis position is designated as a safety sensitive position.As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
