CT Technologist II

Location Norfolk, VA Shift First (Days), Full Time Overview Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring for a CT Tech to work at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center located in Norfolk, VA. A generous sign‑on bonus of up to $20,000 and relocation/moving allowance are available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities Perform computed tomography (CT) examinations and CT‑guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician; provide patient and family education; operate equipment safely; complete department documentation; maintain equipment cleanliness and operational status; and manage adequate supply inventory for examinations. Qualifications ARC Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required or CNMT to be obtained within 2 years of hire; advance CT registry in ARRT or CNMT must be obtained within two (2) years of hire. Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences or Trade School certificate. No experience in CT required; new graduates are welcome. Additional Requirements Staff within Sentara CarePlex must obtain CT registry by November 1 2016.
