Per Diem Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Opening for per diem anesthesiologist with 84-bed Northern Dutchess Hospital in charming Rhinebeck, NY. The hospital is part of the Nuvance Health system, which includes seven hospitals and several outpatient facilities serving both the Hudson Valley of New York and western Connecticut.

Responsibilities include assisting in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department, responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements include an M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX completion, completion of an approved residency in anesthesia, and currently licensed as a physician.
