Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan special education teaching license required
• Experience working with students across elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s unique learning needs
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet diverse learning abilities
• Provide direct instruction in both individual and small-group settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust strategies to enhance success
• Communicate regularly with families to encourage ongoing engagement and support
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture
