Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,142 a week in all, a taxable rate of $25 an hour plus $1,242.05 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in a healthcare facility located in an acute care setting. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced, telemetry unit with a diverse caseload including COPD, post-op, GI bleeds, OB-GYN surgeries, ortho, sepsis, altered mental status, stroke, and cellulitis. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Medical Surgical Nurse—specializing in adult and pediatric telemetry patients, with a focus on delivering patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; preferred PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); 2-3 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing; no specific degree or educational requirement; licensure to submit required; ability to work nights; minimum of 36 hours per week; no location restriction.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other week or four weekends in a four-week schedule, with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Additional Information: Unit utilizes Cerner charting system. Certification in ACLS (American Heart Association) is required. The hospitalist is onsite 24/7, and the unit operates in a rapidly changing environment with an average patient length of stay of three days. There is no required float, but floating to telemetry or OB units is optional for experienced nurses.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must have a valid license to submit and must meet the minimum experience requirements.
