Radiologic Technologist\n

Work Location: Oakton, VA
Work Hours: Full time, Day Shift

\n
• Perform radiographic and other imaging procedures as prescribed by a physician.
\n
• Instruct patients on proper physiological requirements for procedures.
\n
• Prepare and administer barium when required.
\n
• Ascertain area of injury or symptoms to assist in diagnosis.
\n
• Recognize reactions to contrast media and administer CPR when necessary.
\n
• Ensure all necessary consent forms are signed. Process exam-related information accurately.
\n
• Assist in clerical and reception duties. Participate in quality assurance efforts.
\n
• Reduce radiation exposure to a minimum. Comply with policies and procedures.
\n
• Report equipment problems and perform maintenance.
\n
• Take initiative for professional advancement.
\n
• Maintain clean work area and comply with OSHA regulations.
\n
• Promote positive image of the office. Maintain patient confidentiality.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Completion of training program in imaging technology from an accredited school
\n
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration
\n
• Certification in CPR within one year of employment and annual renewal
\n
• Licensure in Virginia
\n
