ElectricianCompletion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship, or an equivalent journeyman qualification (state or local certificate, or union journeyman status where that is the local credential). A California C-10 contractor license is not required. 3+ years in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, battery, semiconductor, or other heavy production environments. Working knowledge of 480V distribution, MCCs, industrial breakers, and switchgear. Ability to read and apply one-lines, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics. Hands-on use of multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers, including metering voltage and current on 480V loads. Current NFPA 70E qualified-electrical-worker training, documented. Must include hazard assessment, PPE selection, establishing an electrically safe work condition, and limits of justified energized work. Required at hire OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach card, required at hire. An OSHA 30-Hour card satisfies this requirement. Working knowledge of LOTO and how to isolate electrical hazards. Able to work on-site in Fremont on the posted shift, including overtime, call-in, or weekend coverage if that applies.Install, terminate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and distribution systems, including motor control centers, distribution panels, breakers, and switchgear, from 120V through 480V. Support installation, startup, commissioning, and validation so electrical systems match design intent, code, and Tesla standards before they are released to production. Diagnose faults using one-lines, wiring diagrams, schematics, and test equipment, and return equipment to service. Establish an electrically safe work condition: lockout/tagout, verify absence of voltage, and re-energize under control. Perform justified energized diagnostic work, including work inside equipment, only with the required PPE and energized-work authorization under NFPA 70E and site EHS rules. Trace circuits and loads to support troubleshooting, modifications, and accurate as-builts; mark up drawings for the design record. Meter electrical loads on distribution and equipment circuits through 480V, including voltage and current, to confirm loading during troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup. Perform live metering only under NFPA 70E, with the required PPE and energized-work authorization. Run preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and act on reliability issues that affect uptime. Work with engineering, maintenance, and commissioning to clear blockers to production readiness. Follow NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and Fremont site safety requirements on every job.
