Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a community hospital setting, requiring ARRT(R), BLS, and at least 1 year of IR experience.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a community hospital setting
• 5x8 day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Call is shared among three techs on a rotating schedule covering weekend and weekday shifts
• Travelers are expected to float within the hospital as needed
• Uses Philips imaging equipment, ultrasound, and PACS system

Requirements

• ARRT(R) and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of IR experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Experience with vascular, abdominal/pelvic, genitourinary, and neurological interventional procedures
• Experience with venous access, central line care, port access and management, and PICC line care/maintenance
• Experience with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
• Skilled in equipment set-up, sterile field maintenance, room circulation, and access site preparation
• Two professional references required from assignments within the last 12 months, preferably within 6 months

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of IR procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placements, chemoembolization, thrombectomy, EVAR/TEVAR, and TIPS procedures
• Assist in hybrid OR and special procedures settings
• Maintain infection control and sterile technique standards, including isolation precautions and PPE use
• Responsible for equipment maintenance and supply stocking
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
• Previous staff or travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year and in good standing to be eligible for return
