Role Description The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Chandler, AZ, responsible for supporting the General Manager in daily restaurant operations. This role oversees front-of-house and back-of-house activities, including supervising team members, coordinating shift coverage, and ensuring food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met. The Assistant General Manager helps drive exceptional guest service, manages cash handling and inventory processes, and supports scheduling, training, and performance feedback for staff. This role also assists with implementing local marketing initiatives, monitoring sales and cost controls, and maintaining a relaxed, fun, and inclusive environment aligned with Cheba Hut’s brand. The Assistant General Manager acts as a key leader on the floor, modeling positive behavior, resolving guest concerns, and helping create a space where both team members and guests enjoy spending time. Qualifications 2 years Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including supervising teams, coordinating shifts, and supporting daily operations. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests, resolve concerns, and foster a welcoming environment. Knowledge of food safety, cleanliness standards, and basic kitchen operations, with attention to detail and consistency. Skills in basic business operations such as cash handling, inventory management, and cost awareness to support sales and profitability. Leadership abilities including coaching, training, and motivating diverse team members while promoting an inclusive, respectful workplace. Ability to work full-time, on-site in Chandler, AZ, with schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
