About the Role Lead Technologist/ Project Manager – Energy Solutions Advisory. The energy space is undergoing rapid change and Jacobs is expanding its Energy & Power team to help clients navigate the complexities of deploying reliable and sustainable energy solutions across multiple end markets. Key Responsibilities Lead internal Jacobs teams and external subconsultants/contractors. Collaborate with clients to solve energy challenges focused on speed to market, reliability and sustainability. Work with technical leadership, client account managers and sales professionals on high-importance pursuits. Manage client relationships, ensuring expectations are understood and met, and resolve any client concerns. Oversee projects to minimize risk, maintain budget, schedule, scope and quality, identifying and mitigating risks. Identify, develop and pursue business opportunities with existing or new clients. Support operational and business‑development teams with proposals and other materials for new business opportunities. Scope of Projects Energy master planning Feasibility studies (technological‑economic) Data center power solutions District Energy Systems Renewable energy and storage solutions Thermal power solutions Requirements Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. At least 8 years of design, consulting or project development experience. Proven ability to engage clients, develop relationships, win work and deliver innovative solutions. Experience with multi‑disciplinary project delivery teams. Strong presentation, communication and technical writing skills. Comfortable working independently and leading cross‑functional teams with owners, engineers and contractors. Desired Knowledge and Experience Experience in at least three of the following categories: energy master planning, feasibility studies, data center power, district energy systems, renewable energy and storage, thermal power. Direct experience in delivering projects within these areas. Understanding of new and emerging energy technologies. Experience in owner’s engineer or advisory roles. Strategic project development experience. Additional Highly Regarded Qualifications Professional registration. Experience with: Thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water) Utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planning Cogeneration or combined heat and power systems Microgrid and other distributed energy resources systems Data center or mission‑critical loads Renewable energy projects Complex energy system modeling Location & Work Arrangement This role can be filled remotely, in an office or in a hybrid capacity. Salary The base salary range for this position is $140,700.00 to $225,000.00.
