Role Description The Critical Care Nurse Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA. This role oversees daily operations in the critical care units, including staffing, patient flow, and coordination of interdisciplinary care to support safe, high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring nursing staff, managing schedules, overseeing orientation and ongoing education, and promoting evidence-based clinical practice. The Nurse Manager collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support care plans, implements quality improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with regulatory and hospital policies. Additional duties include managing budgets and resources, supporting performance evaluations, fostering a culture of safety and accountability, and actively participating in unit-based and organizational committees. Qualifications Clinical expertise in critical care nursing, including proficiency in patient assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and management of complex, high-acuity conditions. Leadership and management skills, such as team supervision, performance coaching, conflict resolution, and the ability to build a positive, collaborative work environment. Strong organizational and operational skills, including staffing coordination, resource management, and familiarity with quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage patients and families, and represent the unit in meetings and committees. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to critical care, infection prevention, documentation, and nursing practice. Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications used for documentation, reporting, and scheduling. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California and current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Minimum of several years of recent critical care nursing experience, with prior charge nurse or leadership experience strongly preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
