Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with diverse needs as a Paraprofessional/Instructional Assistant in Lehigh County for the 2026–2027 school year. Multiple positions are available in both Multiple Disabilities Support—Functional and Behavioral classrooms, with assignment specifics determined by district needs and candidate preferences wherever feasible. Hours vary based on assignment, with typical school schedules falling between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM.

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1+ year of experience as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or in a school/special education environment.
• Meets at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification (48+ college credits, associate’s degree or higher, or passing a rigorous state/local assessment). Those who do not yet qualify may attain the necessary certification within 60 days of hire.
• Comfortable with school-day schedules and able to reliably commute within 30–35 minutes of assigned locations.
• Willing and able to assist with behaviors and physical/personal care tasks such as lifting, toileting, and feeding, as required by the classroom.
• Ready to engage with both functional or behavioral support classrooms for students with multiple disabilities.

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support, adapting to the evolving needs of assigned classrooms.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and safely managing challenging behaviors as necessary.
• Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance throughout the contracted school year.
• Complete all onboarding and clearance requirements promptly.

This contract offers an hourly rate of $42, running through June 2027, and follows the assigned school calendar. Assignments are based in Lehigh County only, with in-person interviews scheduled weekly on a first-come, first-served basis.
