Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure patient assessments including vital signs, allergy review, lab evaluation, and history; educate patients and facilitate informed consent
• Administer moderate sedation, maintain sterile field, assist with catheter insertion, and continuously monitor cardiac rhythm and hemodynamics throughout procedures
• Provide post-procedure recovery care including complication monitoring, access site assessment, post-op instruction reinforcement, and discharge coordination
• Accurately document assessments, medications, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
• Respond to code situations and participate in ACLS interventions during cardiac arrest or rapid patient decompensation
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cath lab techs, anesthesia, and support staff to deliver optimal patient care across diagnostic and interventional cases

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certificationsPrior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Demonstrated experience with peripheral and coronary circulation procedures
• Comfort level working with critically ill patients in a high-acuity cath lab environment
• Ability to meet a 30-minute or less call response time requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with the Merge Hemo hemodynamic monitoring system
• Experience with advanced equipment and techniques including Impella, IABP, IVUS, rotablator, laser, nitric oxide, FFR, and Angio Jet
• Experience in a STEMI receiving center environment
• Exposure to Cerner EMR and Philips or Siemens imaging equipment
