More about our team The Advanced Urology Clinic at Raleigh General Hospital provides specialized outpatient care for patients with a wide range of urologic conditions affecting the urinary tract and reproductive system. The clinic focuses on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care through comprehensive evaluations, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, and ongoing management of both acute and chronic urologic conditions. How you'll contribute Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication and document patient care given. Assists RN with development of plan of care. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider. Obtains insurance re‑authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures. Decision recommendations for staffing overtime and low census to be communicated to manager for final approvals. Assists with orientation and training of personnel and students. Participates and attends meetings as required and/or assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. What we’re looking for Education: Graduate of an approved practical nursing program. License: Current LPN/PN to practice in the Commonwealth of VA and be in good standing with the Board of Health Professions. Certifications: BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer.
