About the Role:
Join Bagel Dock Cafe LLC as a Baker Assistant and become part of our passionate team dedicated to crafting delicious baked goods! This role is perfect for those who love baking and want to contribute to a warm, inviting caf atmosphere in beautiful Calabash, NC . HOURS 4 am to 11 am

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head baker in preparing dough, mixing ingredients, and baking a variety of bagels and pastries.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to guarantee product quality.
• Help with inventory management, including stocking supplies and ordering ingredients.
• Participate in the creation of new recipes and seasonal offerings.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with caf patrons.
• Assist in training new team members on baking techniques and procedures.
• Hours 4 am to 11 am

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a baking or kitchen environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Passion for baking and a willingness to learn new techniques.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy ingredients.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education is a plus.
