Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our Surgical Services team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary experience and certifications to excel in this critical role within our Central Sterile Supply department.

Key Responsibilities

Process, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment for multiple specialties.
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment including Sterrad and Steris autoclave washers.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the sterile processing environment.
Participate in the training and onboarding of new staff as needed.
Assist with inventory management and supply replenishment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing; leadership experience is required.
Strong technical skills and knowledge in sterilization processes and equipment.
IAHCSMM or HSPA certification is required.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.

Work Schedule

Shifts: 5x8 hours (12:00 PM - 8:30 PM), with possible 4x10 shifts available.
Rotating weekends may be required, including on-call rotations.
