Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment experience for a 13-week contract.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting treating orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations
- Schedule options include 5x8 shifts (8:00 AM4:30 PM) Monday-Friday or 4 days/week (7:00 AM5:30 PM)
- 40 hours per week with no call or weekend requirements
- Patient scheduling of 1 patient per hour, primarily 1:1 therapy with rare double-booking
- Approximately 2 evaluations scheduled per day
Requirements
- NC Board of PT license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Skilled in assessment, gait training, therapeutic modalities, and adaptive/assistive devices
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, spinal conditions, and post-op rehabilitation
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and may supervise PTAs and techs
- Provides patient and family education on home exercise programs and treatment continuation
- Participates in mentoring students and new employees as assigned
- Candidates must disclose any former employment with the facility
- All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration; late RTO requests are subject to manager discretion
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
