Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive, age-specific assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial status upon admission and on an ongoing basis
• Accurately document observations, physical examinations, laboratory and test results, and patient responses to procedural interventions
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning to identify, clarify, and address patient needs in order to achieve optimal outcomes
• Deliver and assist other staff in the delivery of individualized patient care
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the care plan to promote optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience required
• Active Illinois RN license (must reflect Active status on Nursys)
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start if not already held)
• Current ICU Skills Checklist completed within the past year
• Two completed supervisory reference forms with dates of employment listed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Familiarity with Magnet-level nursing standards and practices
