Job Title: Product Coordinator Job Description
The Product Coordinator responds to customer inquiries about products and orders, researches and recommends appropriate parts, and ensures accurate order processing from initial request through fulfillment. This role maintains detailed records in SAP, collaborates closely with warehouse partners to provide timely order updates, and uses Microsoft Office tools daily to support efficient customer service and inside sales activities.
Responsibilities- Respond to inbound calls and emails from customers regarding products, product availability, order placement, and order status updates.
- Process customer orders received directly from customers and from outside sales representatives, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Research parts for customers and work with part manufacturers as needed to obtain technical information and product details.
- Analyze technical data, specifications, and product information to recommend the correct parts and solutions to customers.
- Handle customer communication primarily via email, with an average of 5–20 calls per day depending on business needs.
- Process customer payment information in a secure and accurate manner as part of the order entry workflow.
- Provide order updates and coordinate with warehouse partners to confirm inventory, shipping status, and delivery timelines.
- Work within SAP to document customer interactions, track orders, and maintain up-to-date records of transactions.
- Use Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and word processing tools, on a daily basis to manage data and prepare documentation.
- Support inside sales activities by assisting customers with product selection, pricing, and order-related questions.
- Perform general customer service duties, ensuring a professional, helpful, and timely response to all inquiries.
- Assist with order entry, purchasing, invoicing, and related administrative tasks as needed within the product and customer service workflow.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, order entry, purchasing, invoicing, inside sales, technical customer service, or administrative roles within the consumer and industrial product industry.
- At least 1 year of experience working within an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or a proprietary system.
- Ability to analyze technical data, product specifications, and part information to recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel at a basic level, including searching data and navigating between multiple tabs.
- Comfort working in SAP or similar systems to track customer interactions and manage orders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for handling both phone and email customer interactions.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and payment information.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to inquiries.
- Previous SAP experience is preferred.
- Background in consumer and industrial products is advantageous for understanding technical parts and specifications.
- Experience collaborating with warehouse or operations teams to confirm inventory and order status.
- Familiarity with inside sales processes, including supporting product selection and order follow-up.
- Ability to work comfortably with manufacturers and external partners to obtain product information.
- General proficiency with Microsoft Office, including word processing tools for documentation and communication.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a small office and cubicle setting with a team of approximately five people, fostering close collaboration and a family-style atmosphere. The position is fully on-site, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no hybrid or remote work options. The work occasionally requires entering the warehouse to check inventory, without physical labor requirements, and involves regular use of office technologies such as SAP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications in a casual, professional environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
