Warehouse Associate
Our client, a leading organization in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the operations support team, contributing to efficient freight handling and delivery processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Richmond, VA
Pay Range: $17.00
Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 6:00PM-12:00AM
What's the Job?
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders to sales associates for processing
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
- Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic
- Complete work in a safe manner, adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed
What's Needed?
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Experience loading and unloading trailers and using handheld scanners is a plus
