divh2Biogas Field Service Technician/h2pBiogas Field Service Technicians are responsible for performing activities associated with the safe and efficient operations of electrical and mechanical systems at their assigned site(s). Responsibilities will include performing a variety of skilled operational and maintenance tasks throughout the day which includes interfacing with the SCADA systems, running analytical tests, and performing the inspection, repair, testing, adjustment, installation, and removal/replacement of various types of electrical and mechanical systems./ph3Primary Responsibilities:/h3ulliOperate and maintain biogas plants, including anaerobic dairy manure digesters, gas upgrading equipment, and ancillary equipment such as compressors, pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation./liliPerform planned routine maintenance and unplanned repairs on above equipment./liliDocumentation of work completed in logs, and drawings for all designated equipment./liliConduct instrument calibration as scheduled/required./liliTroubleshoot and diagnose plant operation and equipment problems./liliCollect and analyze data to analyze digester health such as pH, TSS and biogas quality./liliMaintain a clean and presentable plant environment, take pride in your site./liliAdhere to safety regulations and procedures./liliOther tasks in support of IGS RNG operations as required./li/ulpPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions/ppPhysical requirements include the possibility of standing for extended periods of time, stair and ladder climbing and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (such as hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc.)./ppWork Schedule/ppThis position offers a regular scheduled Monday to Friday work week, with an 8-hour day shift. Position requires extended working hours and varied shifts with the possibility of weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, workload and plant conditions. On call status is required. Travel to various sites in western Ohio and Indiana. The ideal candidate for this position will live within a 30 min drive to Monterey, IN./ppMinimum Education and Experience:/pulliAssociates degree in a related field, such as mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or agricultural engineering, or related experience. In lieu of an associates degree, 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance on compressors, pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation./lili2+ years of experience in biogas plant operation and maintenance or wastewater facility operation and maintenance preferred./liliPLC programming experience preferred/liliStrong understanding of biogas production and conversion processes or willingness to learn./liliExcellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience working with 24-480 V systems./liliMust be skilled in the use of hand and power tools./liliMust be able to work from blueprints, drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams and electrical wiring diagrams./liliAbility to work independently and as part of a team./liliStrong attention to detail and safety awareness./liliApplicant must possess and maintain a valid drivers license./li/ulpWork Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
