This role involves working in an acute setting to assess and treat the impact of various impairments on patients' daily activities. The Occupational Therapist will utilize a range of therapeutic techniques to assist patients in achieving optimal independence.

Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist

• Verify physician orders prior to evaluation.
• Evaluate patients considering psychological and physical issues.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the patient and their family.
• Administer and direct occupational therapy treatments and modalities.
• Communicate evaluation, treatment procedures, and equipment usage to patients and families.
• Monitor patient progress and maintain communication with referring physicians.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist

• Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• One year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Current New Mexico American Occupational Therapy Association licensure
• BLS certification required
