Director of Operations – Field & Service Delivery LaJaunie’s Pest Control | Greater New Orleans, LouisianaFull-time | In person | Salary: $110,000–$120,000 per year Reports to: COO/IntegratorWorks closely with: CEO/Visionary and Leadership Team About LaJaunie’s Pest Control LaJaunie’s Pest Control is a fast-growing, route-based service company providing pest, termite, and wildlife-control services throughout Southeast Louisiana. As we continue growing across branches and service lines, we need an experienced operational leader who can turn plans and standards into consistent field execution. The Opportunity The Director of Operations is the senior leader responsible for field and service delivery across LaJaunie’s branches and operational divisions. This is a hands-on, field-centered leadership role. “Hands-on” does not mean personally solving every operational problem. It means being visible in the branches and field, inspecting what is happening, coaching managers, establishing clear standards, and ensuring consistent follow-through. The Director will lead through Operations Managers and other field leaders, creating an accountable operation that delivers safe, efficient, profitable, and consistently high-quality service. What You Will Own Field and Service Execution Lead field operations across multiple branches and the pest, termite, and wildlife service lines. Ensure consistent service quality, productivity, safety, and customer-care standards. Establish clear expectations for technician readiness, field capacity, service execution, and follow-through. Identify and resolve recurring operational breakdowns instead of relying on individual heroics or temporary workarounds. Protect customer retention by reducing preventable callbacks, service failures, and field-related customer issues. Leadership and Accountability Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable Operations Managers across branches and service lines, along with Fleet and Facilities leadership. Establish a consistent cadence of one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, coaching, and leadership development. Help managers become stronger decision-makers who fully own the performance of their teams. Address missed expectations directly, promptly, and respectfully. Build bench strength and support the selection, onboarding, and development of future operational leaders. Operational Performance Maintain and review an Operations Scorecard with clear weekly performance measures. Monitor and improve the operating drivers of: Gross margin and labor efficiency Technician productivity and capacity Service completion and backlog Callbacks, re-services, and quality Customer retention Fleet and equipment readiness Safety incidents and regulatory compliance Use performance data to identify root causes, establish corrective actions, and verify that improvements are sustained. Partner with Administration on shared measures involving scheduling, dispatch, route efficiency, and service completion. Process Standardization and Execution Document, improve, and enforce core operational processes and standard operating procedures. Ensure that agreed-upon processes are followed consistently across branches and service lines. Eliminate unnecessary variation while allowing leaders to exercise sound judgment. Build scalable operating practices that support continued growth and future expansion. Lead the operational implementation and field integration of new branches, service areas, or acquisitions. EOS and Quarterly Execution Participate actively in the company’s EOS meeting rhythm, including Level 10 Meetings, Scorecards, Rocks, and IDS. Develop quarterly operational plans aligned with company priorities. Own Operations Rocks and ensure that they are completed on time. Bring operational Issues forward early, help identify root causes, and drive them to resolution. Maintain EOS disciplines within the Operations function while partnering with the Integrator on companywide execution. Safety, Fleet, and Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, licensing requirements, and company safety standards. Maintain clear accountability for vehicle, equipment, and facility readiness. Strengthen fleet-safety practices, incident reporting, equipment controls, and preventive maintenance. Create a culture in which safety and compliance are daily operating expectations—not occasional initiatives. What Success Looks Like Within the first year: Operations Managers have clear expectations, useful scorecards, and consistent accountability. Branches and service lines execute core processes reliably. Leadership can see capacity, productivity, quality, and service risks before they become emergencies. Service completion, gross margin, quality, and safety performance improve against established targets. Scheduling and dispatch handoffs between Administration and Operations are clear and consistently followed. The CEO and Integrator are no longer pulled into routine field-execution issues. The operational organization is prepared to support continued organic growth and future acquisitions. Required Qualifications At least five years of progressive operations leadership experience, including experience leading managers—not only individual contributors. At least three years of experience in pest control, home services, or another multi-location, route-based field-service business. Experience managing operations across multiple locations, markets, or service lines. Demonstrated success using KPIs, scorecards, and financial measures to improve performance. Experience improving productivity, service quality, cost control, and manager accountability. Ability to move comfortably between strategic planning, manager coaching, branch visits, and field observation. Strong judgment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in person in Greater New Orleans and travel regularly among company locations. Preferred Qualifications Direct pest, termite, or wildlife-control experience. Pest-control licensing or relevant industry certifications. Experience with route optimization, field-service software, fleet management, and technician-capacity planning. Experience managing gross margin, branch profitability, or a service-operations P&L. Experience implementing SOPs across multiple locations. Familiarity with EOS or another structured operating system. Experience integrating acquisitions or opening new markets.
