The posted compensation range of $44.28 - $54.41 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
As our Anesthesia Technician, you will provide critical support in the safe and efficient administration of anesthesia, assisting providers with equipment and supplies for diverse surgical and non-surgical cases. Every day, you will prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, supplies, and medications before, during, and after cases. This includes performing complex procedures under direction (e.g., setting up and assisting with line placement, intubation, extubation), managing supply inventory, room turnover, and patient positioning/transport. To be successful in this vital role, you will demonstrate a thorough understanding of anesthesia equipment and sterile techniques, possess meticulous attention to detail, and exhibit excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Transporting patients from all areas of the hospital as needed.
- Prepping patients in ACU or on the nursing units as needed.
- Moving, and assisting with patient positioning as appropriate
- Transporting specimens properly
- Transporting Blood products from blood bank to the OR.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
- The Anesthesia Technician 2 position is a mid-level position, upon hire and must complete Anesthesia Tech II curriculum within one year of hire or transfer to position.
- One year of Anesthesia Technician 1 experience or equivalent anesthesia experience
- Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
