Job Details We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced Accounting + Finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial operations and long-term financial strategy. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accrual accounting and is excited to manage financial functions including financial statements, payroll, budgeting, tax, audit, and risk management. Responsibilities Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close process. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Additional duties as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation required. 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and GAAP. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in accounting software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to work well with senior executives and team, and to mentor/lead other team members. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger processes. Experience with month-end/year-end close processes and strong accounting software administration skills. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Must have experience in chart of accounts, account reconciliation, real estate, GAAP, outsourced accounting, public accounting, CPA, financial accounting, and accruals.
