Research Scientist-Cancer Innovation

Overview The Department of Cancer Innovation at Nemours Children’s Health in Orlando, FL seeks a motivated Research Scientist (tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Professor equivalent) to be part of the highly collaborative and growing Cancer Innovation Center. Applicants must hold a PhD or MD/PhD degree with significant postdoctoral research experience and demonstrated excellence in cancer research. Responsibilities Plan and oversee projects in basic/translational research, including collaborations with our clinical and basic science researchers. Design and foster collaborative and independent research projects related to pediatric cancer; supervise postdoctoral associates, technicians and students. Obtain and coordinate external funding; disseminate research in the form of manuscripts and conference presentations. Supervise the maintenance, safety, and running of the laboratory and ensure regulatory compliance. Supervise and train laboratory technicians, students, and postdoctoral fellows. Qualifications PhD or MD/PhD degree with significant postdoctoral research experience and demonstrated excellence in hematology/oncology.
